Julie Costa
Master Business Hypnotherapist ยท NLP Trainer ยท ICF PCC Coach ยท Best Hypnotherapist Boston 2024
Before this became my work, I was the business owner doing all the right things and hitting the same ceiling anyway.
Coach after coach. Course after course. Program after program. I had the data, the strategies, the templates. By every measure I should have been seeing results. I wasn't.
What I kept looking for was the secret sauce. The thing other people seemed to have that I couldn't locate in myself no matter how much I invested or how hard I worked.
Then I stumbled on hypnotherapy. Something about it felt different from anything I'd considered before. I wasn't ready to commit yet. I had just joined a new mastermind and told myself I'd come back to it after. Well. The accountability coach I was matched with inside that mastermind turned out to be the founder of the exact hypnotherapy program I'd just set aside.
I stopped saying later.
What shifted first was personal. The way I responded to situations, people, obstacles: it changed. I stopped spiraling. I stopped going into freeze. I moved from reactive to responsive, from drama to data. It even changed how I carried the grief of losing my mom suddenly when I was ten. Not by making me relive it, but by shifting the way it lived in me.
Then it moved into my business. I became more magnetic. Clearer on where I was going. More creative, faster in my decisions. More people saying yes. More sales, more revenue, more impact.
That's when I knew this wasn't just something that had helped me. It was something I needed to learn how to do for others.
This Is Where the Work Happens
I work at the intersection of subconscious patterning, behavioral science and business performance with one focus: helping established business owners close the gap between what they're capable of and how they're actually showing up.
It's precise, applied behavioral change that operates at the level where decisions are actually made, where patterns are formed and carried into real-time action, where behavior is actually shaped.
Most approaches work at the level of information and strategy. I work underneath that. At the level where behavior is actually being formed.
The result is not temporary motivation. It is a different way of operating. You can feel the difference between those two things, can't you?
Depth of Practice. Breadth of Experience.
I spent over a decade in corporate leadership before this became my work. I scaled multiple locations for lululemon, led regional and global initiatives, and built teams in environments where performance wasn't optional.
What I kept seeing, across every role and every team, was that the people who outperformed weren't always the most talented. They were the ones who could make a decision and hold it. Show up consistently without fighting themselves every time. Lead from a place that already felt settled.
ย
Strategy wasn't the differentiator. Behavior was.
That one observation changed everything for me.
ย I went deep into the training. Hypnotherapy, NLP, EFT, neuroscience-informed behavioral change. Not to collect credentials but because I needed to understand what was actually driving behavior at the level I kept watching it play out. I became a Master Business Hypnotherapist, NLP Trainer and ICF PCC Coach and I've spent years refining how this work is applied, not just understood.
I now work with established business owners and train and certify practitioners globally. In 2024 I was named Best Hypnotherapist in Boston.
The work is precise. The results are real. And I've lived everything I teach.

The Work Doesn't Stop With You.
My work extends beyond individual sessions and certification rooms.
I train and certify practitioners to apply subconscious and behavioral methodologies within their own businesses, equipping them to create results for their clients that actually carry. This work is being integrated across industries, influencing how business owners, service providers and leaders approach visibility, communication, decision-making and client results.
What sits at the center of that expansion is a belief I keep coming back to: subconscious and behavioral work is not a personal development tool. It is a core business competency for anyone responsible for leading others and driving results.
A Standard for How This Work Is Done
I apply this work with intention.
Influence, communication and behavioral tools are leadership responsibilities. The focus is never pressure or persuasion. It's clarity that allows people to make decisions that are actually aligned with where they want to go.
Consent and awareness are central to my process. You are never led past your own understanding or agency. You are guided to see the patterns shaping your behavior and to participate actively in changing them.
This work requires ownership. It asks for self-awareness, accountability and a willingness to examine the internal structures influencing how you think, respond and act. The result is not temporary change. It is a shift in how you operate that holds in real-world conditions.
The Dog, the Coast, and a Very Good Breakfast Sandwich
I live in a coastal town in Massachusetts with my husband Ron, my stepson Owen and our dog Sammy. Sammy is named after my favorite food: breakfast sandwiches.
What started as a running joke turned into a name that stuck, which says a lot about me. I tend to keep the things I love close and I don't overcomplicate what works.
Outside of my work that looks like time near the water, strong relationships and a pace that allows for both depth and presence.
